Talking about a mobile phone, it can be called modern choices which have become a necessity now. Mobile phones are reaching the pockets of everybody in this world, but it is also harming us in certain ways.

Even though the advantages of mobile phone are innumerable, however the bitter truth is that it is also harmful, and it is having more disadvantages than its benefits. let's know what are the disadvantages of using mobile phones.

Today's generation spend too much time using cell phones for playing video games, chatting, watching movies, social media and thus they waste their precious time.

In many cases, it is often seen that people have a habit of using the mobile phone while driving, which is very dangerous. Moreover, it is the main reason for road accidents.

We also keep our personal data, bank details and other important information in the mobile phone. It can be risky if we ever loss or misplaced the mobile phone.

Due to the frequent use of smart phone many people start having trouble in falling asleep at night.

It is seen that many people are becoming more and more dependent on a mobile. Furthermore, the user will become addicted to their mobile phone.

Long essay: 

The mobile phone is one of the best inventions in the field of communication. Every day, technological advancements are making possible newer and better models of the same. With the ongoing advancement in technology, new gadgets keep coming to compensate the needs of human beings. Mobile is one such gadgets comforting our lives.

Mobile phones offer many benefits like fast, easy and convenient communication with anyone at anytime. However, it has some drawbacks too. 

To begin with, it has been seen in many cases that excessive usage of mobile phones causes wastage of valuable time. Specially students, who cannot focus on their studies. Teenagers use mobile phones for entertainment and trivial activities like chatting, talking, texting or Surfing the internet, they spend all day in it instead of doing any productive things.

Chatting and playing video games are passive activity and they have certain negative effects. Firstly, children sit on one place for hours and keep using mobile phone this makes them lazy as there is absence of any physical activity. Secondly, during such activities, children eat lots of junk food like chips, popcorn, pizza and so on. As a result, they become obese and lose their efficiency when it comes to studying and playing sports. Thirdly, such a passive activities if done for a longer hours do not really refresh them. Rather, children feel mentally fatigue after using mobile and they become short tempered.

Many people get addicted to mobile phones which causes distractions from their works. Prolonged use of mobile phone can cause strain to our eyes. Its extensive use also causes back or neck pain.

Sometimes, it takes our privacy away because anyone can trace us easily. It can be misused in number of ways, that can leak our personal information and data like photos, videos, SMS, MMS and spread viruses.  Many people take pictures or record others' movements without their consent. This leads to the misuse of those photographs and can lead to crime.

It is often seen that many people start distancing from their relatives and family members, which is one of the most common negative impacts of mobile phone. Whenever we are  at work, at home or in a social gathering, we are hammered with either the calls or messages.

Finally, scientific health research has proved that electromagnetic radiation waves are harmful to our ear, eye, heart and brain upon extensive use. Also, it causes heath problems like, mental illness, cancer, brain tumor, heart disease and many other major diseases.

Conclusively, mobile technology definitely has brought a revolution and changed the way to socialize and to entertain. Smartphones have made our lives easier, but we need to be careful on our increasing dependence on it. Let us be wiser and responsible in using it.
