Junk food problems and solutions ielts essay.
Sample answer :
In many countries, it is seen that the consumption of quick meals is on the rise today. Therefore, people are gaining weight easily and the problem of obesity is becoming a serious issue. As a result, some people believe that junk food should be banned. I completely agree with this viewpoint because many fast food shops and restaurants, which are in this business just for the money, ignore Public Health by serving out unhealthy food to them. This essay will explain the primary source of these problems and a few suggestions.
On the one hand, it is true that fast food is extremely unhealthy and leads to obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, liver disease and other health problems due to its high in sugar, salt and saturated fats. Unfortunately, people regularly eat and drink it without realising how harmful it is. Moreover, pizza, burgers, microwave dinners, and candy bars are just a few examples of the convenience and junk food that have affected the modern lifestyle. It would be necessary to completely ban fast food. Also, people would be inspired to cook at home, which will be healthy for them.
On the other hand, it is highly recommended that a government-sponsored awareness campaign could be the most effective solution to this issue. Which would ideally increase public awareness. It will help to increase understanding of the issue. Moreover, it would encourage many people to start having healthier eating habits. For instance, European countries recently pushed their citizens to consume five pieces of green vegetables and fruits daily, which helped to a sharp decline in obesity-related illnesses.
In conclusion, although the government should ban fast food companies, it seems that this solution won't completely resolve the problem. I think that in order to solve this issue, we need to start guiding people on how to make healthier choices and make them aware of the value of good health for their families.
